SCOPE Subscriber Survey

(I Thessalonians 5:12) Know those that labor among you.

The SCOPE newsletter is the tool used to let subscribing families throughout the Greater Sacramento region know what others are doing. It includes informative and inspirational articles to encourage you. As you read through it, you will also find details for participation in a variety of events and/or opportunities available each month to enrich your homeschool experience. The fee you pay for your newsletter subscription strictly covers the cost of printing and mailing. We do not make a profit on it.

SCOPE is more than a subscription to a newsletter. From its inception, it was intended to be a support group for like-minded individuals who had the shared desire to privately, independently homeschool their children. It was set up as a non-profit, religious organization and operates under guidelines set forth in a constitution and by-laws. There are many people involved in SCOPE who volunteer countless hours of their time in a myriad of ways to serve you and keep things running.

11. Chat groups were established to form small intimate groups, but it seems we forget that we are part of a larger group. Would you be interested in more SCOPE-wide activities like combined PE/Park Days between several chat groups, formation of a sports league, shared co-op teaching/learning opportunities, year-end celebrations, back to school parties? (Please explain you answer, or offer examples of areas that interest you.)

This is your support group. The Board and Chat Leaders are volunteers who also homeschool their children. We cannot do everything alone; we need your ideas and participation. Thank you for taking some of your valuable time to share with us so we can work together to make SCOPE the best support group for private, independent home educators.
