Aimo-Gadd Memorial Scholarship
The Aimo-Gadd memorial Scholarship(s) is awarded in memory of Randy Aimo and David Gadd.
Randy Aimo along with his wife Cathy, were homeschool pioneers in the 1980's. They were one of SCOPE's founding families. Randy served on the SCOPE board from 1990-1996. Randy received his eternal inheritance on August 3, 2002
David Gadd served Sacramento homeschoolers and SCOPE in a variety of ways. He's probably best remembered for his challenging questions and sense of humor while serving as SCOPE Newsletter Editor. David passed away from cancer in 1996
Applications for the scholarship(s) are usually available in January or February in the year the student is graduating. Application submission deadline is usually in April. Awards are announced in May or June. The amount may vary depending on SCOPE’s fiscal budget. The scholarship(s) may be used for a variety of post-secondary programs including college, seminary, ministry training or apprenticeships.
Scholarship Guidelines
In order to qualify for these scholarships you must:
- Be a private, independent Christian home school student. You cannot be under the jurisdiction of either a public school ISP or a charter school.
- Have been educated at home for at least the last three calendar school years.
- Have been SCOPE subscriber in good standing for the past two years.
- Be under the age of 20.
- Complete and submit application packet by the due date. Late applications will not be considered
