Subscriptions:
Fill out subscription form and send to address noted on form. It is preferred that you send separate checks for subscription and advertising purchases. If you include one check to cover all expenses (i.e., subscription and advertising) your subscription might be subject to delays.

Submissions:
Note: The SCOPE Board must give prior approval for the use of the SCOPE name in any advertisements.
Article and advertising submissions are all due by the 5th of the month prior to publication. Publication is at discretion of editor and SCOPE Board. Be sure to include your name, address, phone number and payment with all submissions. Make checks payable to SCOPE, and mail to the SCOPE Editor. All advertisement payments must be received before any ad is placed in the newsletter.
Submissions may be sent, preferably by email attachment with a hard copy included with payment, to:
scopenews@scopehome.org and please email a request for the current Editor’s name and mailing address.

Non-Subscriber Ads:
If you are not a SCOPE subscriber and wish to advertise in the SCOPE News, advertising is limited to paid Display Ads in Quarter Page, Half Page or Full Page size only.
Ads should be submitted camera ready. A $40 ad composition fee is charged for non-camera ready ads and composed at the availability and discretion of the editor. No guarantee that such ads will be published.

Non-Educational Services/ Items for Sale
Subscribers who are offering/selling a non-educational item (for example: House for Sale; puppies/kittens, etc.) a Classified Ad fee would be charged for approximately an 1/8 page ad.
Business Ads
In addition to display ads, subscribers advertising their businesses have the option to place a business card ad of the same card for 6 months.

Free Subscriber Ads:
Free Ads are limited to 2 months of free advertising per event per 12 month period and to quarter page ad size. Larger sized ads will be charged display ad prices. Ads should be submitted camera ready, meaning they are ready to paste into the newsletter without layout or editing.
Advertising is offered free of charge to a SCOPE subscriber and will be a maximum quarter page ad or listed in the Bulletin Board. These events and activities are open to SCOPE subscribers only or may be extended to include other Christian, private, independent home educators. Please resubmit your free ad request by the due date of the 5th of the month prior to publishing for each of the 2 months you wish the ad to run.
There are 2 classifications of subscriber advertisements. Please carefully read each before submitting your ad and put that classification name on the submission.

SCOPE Event:
A SCOPE Event is a one-time, annual or special event offered to the entire SCOPE support group by a SCOPE subscriber which requires ticket purchase or pre-registration. This includes Chat Group-sponsored field trips.

SCOPE Activity:
A SCOPE activity is an educational or social activity that is presented to the entire SCOPE support group by a SCOPE subscriber. Examples include roller skating, chess clubs, ongoing/regular free classes, etc., which are not related to one’s business, and will be included as Bulletin Board ads.
Note: Bulletin Board Ads are the SCOPE News preferred form of advertisement and they are a maximum of quarter page in size. Submit text only by email to scopenews@scopehome.org. Your text must be no more than 100 words.
Bookstore Ads are educational items only, for sale or wanted, and are free to subscribers. Limit 5 items per month. Be sure to include your name and phone number to be included in the ad.
