SCOPE CONFERENCE KEYNOTE SPEAKER
Sally and Clay were married in 1981. They have served together in overseas, church and parachurch ministries for most of their marriage. The Clarksons have four children—Sarah, Joel, Nathan and Joy— all educated at home from the beginning. They currently live in Monument, Colorado. In addition to a national speaking ministry, Sally is co-author of Educating the WholeHearted Child, and author of Seasons of a Mother ’s Heart. She is also a published author with WaterBrook Press/Random House with The Mission of Motherhood and The Ministry of Motherhood, and with Harvest House Publishers with The Mom Walk (January 2007). Sally grew up in Texas and New Mexico. She graduated from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas where she majored in English and Speech. She became a Christian early in college, was actively involved in ministry, and joined the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ upon graduation in 1975. After discipling women on a large college campus, she spent three years living and ministering in Eastern Europe. Back in the states, Sally led ministries to executive women and single adults in Denver, Colorado where Clay was on the singles leadership team. She remained active in ministry after marriage and has been involved in several discipleship and teaching ministries to Christian and homeschooling mothers. She has led annual WholeHearted Mother Conferences since 1998. Sally has also performed and sung in The Promise, a professional amphitheater production. Sally has homeschooled all her children from the beginning. She loves evening walks, Austrian coffee, old movies, good friends, beautiful books, tea times, and baking whole wheat breads and rolls. Discipleship is the heartbeat of Sally’s life, whether it is in teaching and motivating other women, or in training and instructing her children. Through her books and speaking ministries, God has used Sally to bring encouragement and inspiration to mothers who desire to follow God’s biblical design for their lives. All of her messages are filled with stimulating biblical instruction, touching personal anecdotes and illustrations, and wise spiritual insights born out of her own experience in life and ministry. Whole Heart Ministries History Whole Heart Ministries began in 1994 as a small family ministry of Clay and Sally Clarkson. Since that time, God has blessed the ministry and it has grown to include quality published materials for Christian parents, an active website, and speaking and events ministries, both nationally and internationally. The vision of Whole Heart Ministries for the future is to publish and provide a growing selection of quality, biblically-based books and materials for home nurture, home discipleship, and home education; to develop a content-rich website with unique and helpful online ministries and an online bookstore of heart-building books and resources; and to minister to committed Christian parents through selected church seminars, events, speaking opportunities, and audio media. Mission Our mission shapes our ministry: “To encourage and equip Christian parents to build a biblical home and a godly heritage by nurturing, discipling and educating their children at home.” Whole Heart Ministries strives to serve Christian parents and their children worldwide through Bible-centered ministries of writing, publishing, speaking, teaching, and training. Our ultimate objective is to strengthen families to serve God wholeheartedly.
